I learned this from the “grandmother” in this story in our Bible study group. We were talking about heartache and injustice in the world, but God can be trusted! All she said was that her daughter wrote a book soon about the incredible real-life disappointments she faced. I said I wanted to read your daughter’s story to find out what happened. I couldn’t put it down. Rachel writes in a way that makes every word count, but she forces you to keep reading, you’re so fascinated! It is both tragic and inspiring. Rachel so poignantly and factually describes the hand of God in action!! Evil does not prevail when God is in control.

I remember thinking that the situation must be sad for someone to give up on a couple of adorable 1-year-old and 3-year-old Hispanic sisters; adopted by the owner of the studio where my daughter danced and her husband. I was happy for them, but sad for their biological parents. Could these adoptees and their natural parents have been victims of similar harm and abuse from the foster care system?
Thank you Rachel for exposing the shocking evil, corruption and abuse by the same government agencies that still operate today!! With the conscience that Rachel boldly exposes and her faith in the power of God, fewer families can be forced to endure sometimes irrevocable heartaches.
